ICCF Congress 2024

Llandudno, Wales, 11-15 August 2024

Travelling to Llandudno

If you are flying into the United Kingdom, we recommend that you select Manchester International Airport as your flight destination if possible; Llandudno is easily accessible by train from Manchester, trains run hourly from the airport station, which is easily accessible by foot from all terminals. The journey takes approximately two and a half hours (if you're interested, you will leave England and enter Wales shortly after leaving Chester station).

Unfortunately direct trains from Manchester Airport are only available on weekdays and Saturdays, so we would advise you to travel to Congress on the Saturday if possible.  If you must travel on the Sunday you will need to change trains (typically at Chester and Llandudno Junction) and travelling times will be longer.

Tickets for the train can be purchased from the airport station or online in advance for collection or electronically; we will be able to send you more detailed travel plans when we know your landing time.  Please note that cheaper advance tickets go on sale approximately six weeks before date of travel; delegates are advised to wait for advanced tickets to become available before booking rail travel online.

A possible alternative to the train is a hired minibus, which may be an economical and convenient option if there are groups of delegates arriving at Manchester at around the same time.  Once we receive delegate's flight details, we will publish them on this website so you can see who will be arriving around the same time as you.  We will give details of minibus hire companies on request.

There are no border controls when travelling between England and Wales.
